The SSBA Executive, staff, and member boards are involved in many internal and external sector-related committees. The mandate and focus of each committee are diverse providing the opportunity to have different board members engaged in important provincial work on behalf of the SSBA.
As per SSBA Bylaw No. 5, the President of the SSBA makes the committee appointments. The cycle for renewal varies for each committee and sometimes appointments are renewed or extended.
The appointed committee member is assigned an Executive member to serve as a liaison for any matters that may arise. The goal is to foster communication between committees and the SSBA Executive.
