Education Scholarships

Each year, the Saskatchewan School Boards Association awards two $3,000 scholarships to graduating Saskatchewan high school students:

  • Degree Program Scholarship: $3,000
  • Technical/Trade Program Scholarship: $3,000

A special thank you to AON for sponsoring the Degree Program Scholarship beginning in 2023 and Manulife for sponsoring the Technical/Trade Program Scholarship beginning in 2023.


Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of demonstrated good character, community leadership, financial need and a 500-word essay. The application deadline is Aug. 31 each year. Applicants must apply within 12 months of Grade 12 graduation.

2021 Recipient

Degree Program Recipient

Queen Esther M. Lamanilao is the recipient of the 2021 Degree Program Scholarship. Queen graduated from Regina Christian School, an associate school of Regina Public Schools, and is enrolled in the Computer Science program at the University of Regina.

 


2020 Recipients

Degree Program Recipient

Amanda Gel is the recipient of the 2020 Degree Program Scholarship. Amanda graduated from Hudson Bay Community School in the North East School Division and is enrolled in the Arts and Science program at the University of Saskatchewan.

 

Technical / Trade Program Recipient

Tiara Thiessen is the recipient of the 2020 Technical / Trade Program Scholarship. Tiara graduated from Kerrobert Composite School in the Living Sky School Division and is enrolled in the Fabricator Welding program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
