The Saskatchewan School Boards Association Insurance Program offers member boards group insurance coverage.
The strength of the program comes from the large number of boards participating.
In addition to offering the insurance coverage described above, the Insurance Services Department:
- Administers some insurance claims
- Advises boards regarding loss prevention and school bus safety
- Arranges safety inspections for boards
- Organizes seminars on topics like playground safety

The Group Tendering Program has provided attractive price structures for hotel lodging, school bus tires, courier rates, cellular telephone rental and the direct purchase of natural gas. All boards of education are invited to participate in the Group Tendering Program. In 1997, the tenders were issued through a national electronic tendering system.
