Awards and Scholarships

The Saskatchewan School Boards Association offers several awards for boards of education, board members and provincial Executive members, as well as scholarships for graduating high school students and awards for graduate students.

The Association presents Life and Honourary Life Memberships to trustees for service at the provincial and national level.

The Association presents the Award of Distinction annually to a school board member who has demonstrated outstanding service and made a significant contribution to enhance education locally and/or provincially.

The Premier's Board of Education Award for Innovation and Excellence, sponsored by The Document Company - Xerox, recognizes educational innovations and improvements focused on student achievement that have been advanced or directed by boards of education.

Each year the Saskatchewan School Boards Association offers up to four Graduate Student Awards of $2,000 each. The Association offers these awards to recognize leadership in education and to advance informed decision making in education.

Each year the Saskatchewan School Boards Association offers two Education Scholarships of $2,500 each to graduating high school students who remain in Saskatchewan in post-secondary study. One scholarship is awarded to a student entering university in Saskatchewan and one scholarship is awarded to a student entering a technical institute in Saskatchewan.
